I'm Whitney Brown. I am an efficiency-loving workflow optimizer who understands the importance of human-machine teams. As a data-driven operations manager and data expert, I have 15+ years of cross-sector experience supporting highly regulated healthcare and government sectors.​

Throughout my career, I learned a great deal about the importance of the operator in the success (or failure) of new technologies.

Human-machine teaming has been a discussion point for business since the creation of  SNARC (Stochastic Neural Analog Reinforcement Calculator), the first artificial neural network. With the increasing availability of AI/ML tools and the complexity of integrations, it becomes even more important to understand cross-functional, cross-platform goals and use cases. Departments can no longer remain siloed and neither can institutional knowledge. It is vital to design dynamic workflows capable of integrating new business needs and tools

Data management begins well before the data reaches the DB. It occurs during the first targeted ad or initial sales call. It occurs during an employee's first few days of onboarding. Designing workflows to shape when, where, and how data is shared not only informs business analysts but also keeps all the institutional knowledge in-house when a member of the team moves to a new department...or a new company.

Some team members will never become early adopters, and that's OK. Successful enterprise tools and systems require successful implementation plans.  Using human-centered design improves adoption rates, increases proficiency, and unlocks the full potential of efficiency gains.

Adoption gaps occur for a number of reasons and can significantly reduce the ROI of new technology. Even worse, it can waste valuable resources. At a time when new tools and technologies are being released every day, it is important to have a human-centered change management strategy in place.

Impact Experience

​​During my time with Impact Experience, I supported the creation and execution of products and programs centered around fetal/maternal health and health disparities highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

​

I spearheaded a research initiative for C-Note, a community development financial institution related to the optimization of capital for small businesses. 

Operations management with
InRoad Medical

My time with InRoad Medical a medical consultancy, focused on preparing  the business to scale from a partnership to an agency model.  I designed new workflows and operations  with minimal intervention set up the invoicing, accounts receivable, administrative, and marketing systems. Creating easily maintained systems was essential for full time doctors consulting as fractional CMOs. 

Market analysis and GTM with
Frequency Mind

Frequency Mind is a wellness company that was looking to shift to online offerings during the pandemic. I supported migration to new data systems, system build outs to support paid advertising, and affiliate social media marketing.
During my time,  the company doubled its online subscribers and were able to reopen in person the following year.
